This notice explains the current cookie use on Merovila. Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. They can serve several purposes, so their significance depends on what the site actually deploys.
Current setup: Merovila does not deploy analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or affiliate-tracking cookies. A necessary session cookie is used when you operate the contact page so its security checks can associate a submission with the contact session.
Necessary contact-session cookie
The contact process uses a server-managed session to support the form's security checks, including protection against an unrelated site causing a submission from your browser. The cookie contains a session identifier rather than the text of your message. The associated form information is handled on the server.
The session is used for the contact-page operation. It is not intended to build an advertising profile or follow your activity across unrelated websites. Contact security and spam prevention do not make a message anonymous: your submission contains the name, email address, subject, and text that you choose to provide.
Information outside cookies
Server logs and contact submissions are separate from browser cookies. Disabling cookies does not prevent a server from receiving the request information needed to return a page, and it does not remove a message that you have already submitted.
Standard request logs and the contact form's hashed IP abuse-prevention information are described in the privacy notice. This distinction matters because deleting a browser cookie is not the same as requesting deletion of information stored by the operator.
Your browser choices
You can use your browser's settings to inspect, remove, or restrict cookies. The instructions and available options depend on the browser and device. Blocking necessary contact-session information may prevent the form's security checks from working and cause a submission to fail.
Most editorial pages do not require the contact session. If the form returns a security error, try refreshing the contact page and reviewing your relevant browser settings before resubmitting. Do not assume an error means that an inquiry was received; look for the actual confirmation displayed by the form.
External links
Clicking an external dating-service or reference link opens a separate website. It may use cookies and other technologies under its own notice. We do not describe those cookies as Merovila's simply because a link appears on our pages.
Current provider links are official direct links without Merovila affiliate tracking. If we introduce a commercial arrangement involving new tracking, the affected placement and policy information will be updated. Review the external provider's explanation before registering or providing personal information there.
Changes and questions
This notice describes the present implementation, not a promise that the site will never change. Any future analytics, advertising, or optional tracking use needs its own accurate disclosure and appropriate handling before deployment.
Use the contact form for a question about Merovila's cookie use. Include the page, browser, and a concise description of the issue. Do not send the value of a session cookie, because it can contain information relevant to your current session.
